MuleSoft at HIMSS: Connecting Healthcare

At MuleSoft, we’re fortunate to have the opportunity to work on one of the most meaningful challenges in integration: interoperability across healthcare IT systems. Whether it’s ensuring that doctors have the information they need to make an accurate diagnosis or verifying a patient’s prescription so that they have access to medication, integration is core to a functioning health care system (indeed integration is often the root cause when there are problems, as those at Healthcare.gov can attest!).

HIMSS, the largest healthcare technology conference in the US, is where the two worlds of ‘today’ and ‘tomorrow’ meet, as the who’s who of the healthcare world gather to learn, share and inspire each other to achieve more.

This year, we’re excited to be hosting an event with our friends at salesforce.com and UCSF. In particular, Ed Martin, Deputy Director at UCSF’s Information Services Unit will be speaking to how UCSF has leveraged technology to build out a revolutionary new collaboration platform that allows UCSF’s patient care teams to throw out their pagers (circa 1970) and collaborate in real time via web and mobile.

There’s never been a greater sense that what we thought was only possible tomorrow, is within our grasp today. Hospitals are extending the point of care beyond the four walls of the hospital ward via telemedicine and health insurance companies are moving from passive payers of claims to active managers of their policyholders’ lifestyle via consumer devices.

Come join us in Orlando, Florida on February 24, 2014 to find out more. We look forwards to seeing you there!
