There’s never been a better time to sharpen your skills, learn something new, and build a career with MuleSoft. Whatever your role in a MuleSoft project — whether you’re a developer, architect, administrator, or IT professional — we have a learning path to help you be successful.

Below are five things you should know about MuleSoft Training and Certification programs:

#1 All MuleSoft Training courses have gone virtual

No matter where you are in the world, you can get trained up on MuleSoft technologies. MuleSoft offers both instructor-led training courses and free online self-paced courses. Most instructor-led courses were already held virtually, but in response to COVID-19, all of our courses are now online only. Instructor-led courses are taught over one to five days across all timezones, with class sizes of 12 students for personalized instruction. Self-paced courses allow learners to access training content on-demand. These are a great option for those wanting to study independently on their schedule. All MuleSoft courses are role-based, and you can find a full list of course offerings here.

#2 All MuleSoft Certification exams are online too

MuleSoft offers industry-recognized certifications that enable you to demonstrate your proficiency and showcase your achievements. We offer developer and architect certifications that allow our technical trainees to validate their skills and display their digital credentials to the market and across their social networks. All certification exams can be taken online. For developers, the first step is to work towards the MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4) certification. Already a MuleSoft Certified Developer – Integration and API Associate? You can take an abbreviated delta exam to upgrade to the MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4) certification. Architects have two certification options, and we’ll cover this in more detail below

In response to COVID-19, MuleSoft is extending the expiration date to July 31, 2020 for current certifications set to expire on or after Feb 1, 2020.

#3 We have free self-paced courses

Our self-paced courses are always online and on-demand, ranging in length from 6 to 40 hours. Topics covered in these online courses include how to discover, consume, design, build, deploy, manage, and govern APIs.

Where’s the best place to start? We recommend developers and integration architects begin with the Development Fundamentals course to get hands-on experience using Anypoint Platform to build APIs and integrations. If you’re a high-level enterprise or platform architect, or just want to get familiar with the concepts, we recommend the less-technical Getting Started with Anypoint Platform course to get an overview of how to use Anypoint Platform to discover, consume, design, build, deploy, manage, and govern APIs.

#4 We have resources to help you prep for your MuleSoft Certification exam

In addition to the recommended courses, we’ve made it easy for you to prepare for your MuleSoft Certification Developer exam with do-it-yourself exercises and assessment quizzes. Each of our DIY packets covers topics that are on the exam and have similar questions to those that will be on the certification test. The assessment quizzes help you determine which topics to review before taking the exam.

Each professional-level exam has a corresponding preparation guide, to help test-takers prepare for the exam and understand what skills and knowledge they need to pass.

#5 There are two paths to becoming a certified architect

There are two ways you can become a certified MuleSoft architect, all online!

The first is the integration architect path. This path is great for technical or solution architects who need to work hands-on with Anypoint Platform and will need to responsibly make project-level design decisions. It is perfect for those who care about architectural repeatability and ensuring new projects are delivered according to standards.

You will be the link between platform architects and developers and lead an integration project toward success. This learning path culminates with the MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect – Level 1 certification.

The second is the platform architect path which is designed for a higher-level solution or enterprise architect. This certification will verify that you have the skills to make company-level design decisions, with the big picture in mind, to ensure the emergence of an effective application network. This exam verifies your ability to create visibility across systems and clouds to identify and address issues before they impact the business as well as an organization’s overall needs.

If you play both an Integration architect and Platform architect role within your organization, take both paths to become three times MuleSoft certified!
