MuleSoft is excited to announce a major enhancement to Anypoint Usage Report: customers can now view detailed usage visibility for Anypoint MQ and Anypoint Object Store. This update enables customers to better monitor, analyze, and manage their usage across critical integration components – helping them make more informed operational and financial decisions.

The goal of this initiative is to provide more transparency, empower deeper usage analysis, and simplify operations management across our core services. This enhanced experience is available across all deployment models, so customers streamline their operations whether they’re using CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, or Hybrid Standalone.

Unlock deeper visibility and control

With this enhancement, customers can now view historical usage trends for Anypoint MQ and Object Store, broken down on a monthly and daily basis. This level of granularity can help form an understanding of consumption patterns, identify optimization opportunities, and plan proactively.

For Object Store, usage metrics are broken down by:

  • Business Group
  • Environment
  • Region ID
  • Store Name

For Anypoint MQ, usage metrics are broken down by:

  • Business Group
  • Environment
  • Region
  • Object Type
  • Object Name

These breakdowns can be utilized insights for root cause analysis and deep operational dives, making it easier to pinpoint where usage is growing, where optimizations are needed, and how different teams and services are contributing to consumption. On top of in-platform visibility, customers can also download their usage data as CSV files for deeper offline analysis and reporting.

Programmatic access to usage data

To further empower operational flexibility, usage data for both Object Store and MQ can now be retrieved programmatically through Object Store v2 Stats API and Anypoint MQ Stats API. This enables customers to integrate usage tracking into their own monitoring systems, build custom dashboards, automate reporting, and drive operational workflows based on real-time consumption data. By offering both in-platform dashboards and API-based access, our aim is to ensure customers have full control over how they manage and act on their usage information.

Transition planning

As part of this update, we plan to deprecate the existing MQ and Object Store usage pages under Access Management. The new Anypoint Usage Report provides a more consistent, detailed, and scalable framework for monitoring usage across all services – eliminating redundancy and improving the customer experience. We encourage customers to begin transitioning to the new Anypoint Usage Report for tracking MQ and Object Store usage.

Empower operations with greater visibility

Access to transparent, detailed usage insights is critical for organizations looking to maximize their IT investments, promote financial responsibility, and maintain operational excellence. With the new enhancements to Anypoint Usage Report, customers can now manage their MQ and Object Store resources with greater precision, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive data-driven operational decisions. We look forward to continuing to deliver new innovations that help our customers build scalable, efficient, and future-ready digital ecosystems.
