Speed is the key.

That’s what business executives think according to new research from MuleSoft. 68% of technology decision makers say there is a growing disparity between what business executives are expecting will be achieved from a digital initiative versus what is, and nearly half (45%) say it’s responsible for slowing the business down. As the CTO of Deloitte recently stated in their 2017 Tech Trends report, “We [IT leaders] need to do a better job of sifting through the noise to identify truly groundbreaking innovations that can deliver value.” So, the question for technology leaders is how can you solve some of the broken promises of ‘digital transformation’ and achieve the speed that the business is expecting?

To help you on your own journey, next Tuesday, February 28, MuleSoft will be hosting a webinar with a customer best practices story from Saint-Gobain – ‘Cementing a Successful Integration Strategy Fast’ – featuring Jason Goodwill, Solutions Architect, Saint-Gobain Building Distribution Sector, UK.

According to Thomson Reuters, Saint-Gobain is one of the world’s most innovative companies; they design, manufacture and distribute construction materials and solutions. With 17,000 employees in the UK and €3.5bn annual sales, they are one of the leading brands in the building and construction space. But they are not without challenges. One of the issues that hampered their business and digital transformation initiatives was the lack of end-to-end visibility in their data flows and daily file movements. This meant when issues occurred it would lead to extended downtime for sales offices and an impact on the customer experience. To solve the problem, they took a different approach. Instead of solving for the symptom, they decided to take a step back, look at the bigger picture of where they were heading as a business and find a solution that could not only address short-term goals but give a solid foundation for future improvements and innovation.

Their solution was MuleSoft;  since adopting Anypoint Platform they have been able to create end-to-end visibility of their data flows, meaning they can detect and fix issues much more quickly than before (minutes vs. days). This enables the IT team to proactively support the business rather than being reactive.

Webinar attendees will see how Saint-Gobain is spearheading digital transformation by building autonomous skills in-house to enable their wider integration strategy. This includes how Saint-Gobain quickly transformed its IT operations to relieve operations and drive greater agility by modernizing core processes. Attendees will also learn top tips and pitfalls to look out for when approaching your integration strategy.
