Our integration tests should be portable, meaning that if we shared our project, everyone would be able to run our tests on any platform without needing to install any framework or application. This is a very common issue when we test flows that have an SFTP outbound endpoint. In order to do an integration test of our flow, we need to start an SFTP server on our machine or use a public SFTP server, which implies adding network overhead to our tests.
We often see the need to reuse a component configuration between 2 applications deployed to Mule. For example, let’s say you have two Mule applications deployed in your Mule server. The first one, called AppA, gets information from Salesforce and stores it in a database. The second AppB modifies your Salesforce campaign information. Both applications share the same Salesforce credentials, so what happens if those credentials change?
Mule has a new really cool module ready to be used in Muleforge called Dynamic Flows. The idea behind this new module might sound strange at first but it is actually quite simple: it allows you to add new flows to your existing mule application without restarting the server. It provides three simple operations for flow management:
