In this blog post, I would like to highlight the similarities between the physical logistics of moving physical cargo containers and the digital logistics of moving data. In essence, I want to translate the shipping jargon into everyday language to allow you to gain an insight into the world of containerization. Equally for the Container Terminal Managers and their IT teams, this blog post takes optimization from the yard to the server room; I want to highlight that integration of systems is critical and how having the right approach can enable your business to flourish.
In order to connect assets to audiences with speed and scale, you need a powerful data transformation tool. That tool should be able to integrate in real time using APIs, do batch tasks such as data ingestion or synchronization and handle a variety of data sources – from JSON to EDI to XML.
Our solution is called DataWeave. It’s a simple, powerful way to query and transform all types of data.
We’re very excited to announce the May 2014 release of Anypoint Platform. You may have noticed that we announced a partnership with Zuora, the company behind the leading SaaS subscription billing service (often touted as the Salesforce of billing). This is no ordinary announcement. We are truly excited about what this means for the future of integration.
SaaS is changing the application landscape, offering better applications at a lower cost through cloud delivery. The benefits of SaaS have been touted many times,
Most people who ever worked in real-world data integration projects agree that at some point custom code becomes necessary. Pre-fabricated connectors, filter and pipeline logic can only go so far. And to top it off, using those pre-fabricated integration logic components often becomes cumbersome for anything but the most trivial data integration and processing tasks.
With RESTx – a platform for the rapid creation of RESTful web services – we recognize that custom code will always remain part of serious data integration tasks.
Last Tuesday night’s demonstration of the MuleSoft’s Eclipse Tool Suite at the Vancouver Eclipse Demo Camp went well. I almost got Nerf-gunned for a (slight) overtime but the organizers’ mercifulness has allowed me reach the end of the demo with a running sample 🙂 For those who weren’t there, here is a summary of my presentation.
The challenge I’ve set to myself for this demonstration was the following: let’s figure out what’s the total length of roadworks currently happening in the city of Vancouver.
We are happy to introduce RESTx, a new open source project from MuleSoft. We believe that RESTx is quite simply the quickest and easiest way to create RESTful resources and RESTful web services in your enterprise or in the cloud, to integrate data and to make your data ready to be integrated.
