2017 is off to a great start for MuleSoft’s community: new initiatives are coming up, new meetups groups get formed and many new events are in the plans.

In the next four weeks only, 7 Meetups are planned across the USA and in Europe. We have many organizer applications pending so more groups will pop up in other countries soon – stay tuned!

These events are community-run and supported by our team: we’re always happy to help local organizers make things happen in their cities! If you have any idea or suggestion to develop the awareness about the API-led approach or MuleSoft in general, please reach out to us in the comments.

Upcoming Meetups in January and February 2017:

Charlotte, NC: User Group Kick off Meeting

January 24th, 2017 – 6pm EST

The group will kick off with an overview and demo of MuleSoft’s AnyPoint API platform. Most people know Mule ESB as a traditional SOA tool, but may not be aware of the tools MuleSoft provides for designing, developing, running, and managing RESTful APIs. We’ll also encourage attendees to share their ideas and thoughts for future meetups!

London, UK: How APIs are driving the digital culture change and API tools

January 25th, 2017 – 6:30pm GMT

In this session, our great duo of organizers – Raj and Tom – plan to cover two main topics:

1) API Marketing & Culture Change: the importance of APIs for your business and how to market the benefits and value.

2) API Tools: a MuleSoft expert will take you through the tools and tips to create, manage and publish APIs for your business.

Boston, MA: Pega Systems and MuleSoft – CRM Connectivity

January 26th, 2017 – 6:30pm EST

For this second event in Boston, Ian, Tyrone and our partner Pega Systems set up a very complete agenda.

Peter Tandara-Kuhns, Director of Software Engineering, Integration & Data Management at Pega Systems will be giving a brief presentation on a partnership with MuleSoft, covering: a quick overview of the Pega CRM platform, integration capabilities and methodology; the RESTful Pega API and RAML-based Anypoint Connector; as well as future opportunities for Pega and MuleSoft collaboration.

There will also be a short demonstration of the RAML-based Pega API Connector delivered by Kevin Pflanz, Software Engineer, Integration & Data Management.

Philadelphia, PA: Microservices, CI/CD, and Dodge use case review

January 31st, 2017 – 5:30pm EST

For the second meetup in Philadelphia, Scott and Stephen suggest an agenda that includes knowledge sharing and discussion on multiple topics including microservices, CI/CD, and a customer case review from Dodge Data & Analytics.

John D’Emic, MuleSoft Client Architect and author of the book “Mule in Action”, will focus on microservices, and will also touch on CI/CD with Anypoint, an important DevOps strategy.

Stephen Crow is an IT architect with expertise across all phases of the software system life cycle. He’s currently implementing MuleSoft and API-led connectivity at Dodge, and will share the vision of their Application Network, usage of microservices, proxies, SSO, load balancer & vanity URL, gateway, and continuous integration.

New-York City, NY: MuleSoft 2017 Product Roadmap and Partner Presentation

February 2nd, 2017 – 6:00pm EST

For this new edition in the Big Apple, the agenda will include a presentation and Q&A session on MuleSoft’s 2017 Product Roadmap, led by MuleSoft Senior Solutions Consultants Meera Ramachandran and Joey Wong, followed by a presentation from MuleSoft partner and meetup sponsor Apps Associates on one of their key projects with MuleSoft.
