We’re experiencing a time of change and when being adaptable is more important than ever — our MuleSoft Meetup Groups are no different. The safety of our customers, partners, and employees and their loved ones is of the utmost importance, which is why we’d like to thank our MuleSoft Meetup leaders for adapting in order to keep the MuleSoft Community connected.
Many of our community leaders are shifting to online sessions — which is no easy feat!
More than 120 MuleSoft Community Meetups were held across 30 countries and garnered more than 5,000 attendees in 2018. 2019 already hits the ground sprinting with 17 events scheduled so far in January and February!
Whether you are just learning about APIs, a new MuleSoft user, or a seasoned veteran in building integrations, MuleSoft Meetup groups provide an ideal opportunity to learn, share knowledge, and network. As fall arrives and community members return from their summer vacations (or winter vacations, depending on which hemisphere they are on!), MuleSoft Meetup groups continue to grow. We now have 59 chapters around the world, with thousands of developers gathering monthly!
In the month since our launch, the community has responded enthusiastically to the launch of our new MuleSoft Meetup program. These Meetups are community-led events, bringing people together to explore, teach, and learn about API-led connectivity by sharing use cases and doing hands-on exercises. You don’t necessarily have to be a MuleSoft user to join: all API enthusiasts are welcome!
At MuleSoft, we are fortunate to have a global developer community that few enterprise software companies could ever dream of. This community is consistently active on our online channels, whether it is through our forums, Champions program, or social networks. By taking part in this digital community, many developers have become recognized experts, contributing brilliant Mule knowledge and mentorship to their peers.
It all started with a simple question from my boss: “Steve, would you like to be in charge of a hackathon at MeetUp?” On the surface, it seemed like an innocuous request since MuleSoft Engineering typically does hackathons about twice a year or so. “Sure,” I thought. “I’ll just get the engineers to self-organize into project teams, order them some pizza, and then sit back and relax while the amazing projects come rolling in.”
